The Higher Education Department issues a detailed admission notification that includes information about the courses available, eligibility criteria, important dates, and the application procedure. Application forms are made available either online through designated portals or offline at specified centres
Interested candidates need to fill out the application form accurately and completely. They must provide personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information as specified in the admission notification.
After the application deadline, the department prepares a merit list based on the candidates’ performance in qualifying examinations or entrance tests, depending on the course requirements. The merit list is published online and/or displayed at designated centers.
Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in counselling sessions conducted by the respective colleges or a central counselling authority. During counselling, candidates can choose their preferred courses and colleges based on their merit rank and the availability of seats.
Candidates must bring original documents, including mark sheets, certificates, identity proof, and any other required documents for verification during the counselling process.
Seats are allotted to candidates based on their merit rank, choices filled during counselling, and the availability of seats in the desired course and college.
Candidates who are allotted seats need to confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees within the stipulated time frame. Admission is confirmed only after the fee payment and document verification process is completed successfully.
Upon successful fee payment and document verification, candidates are granted final admission into their chosen course and college administered by the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh.
